Miss Erin Rae McNamara

Erin Rae McNamara: Owner / Director
With 25 years of dance experience, my dream was to open my very own dance studio, which I have successfully accomplished. With my excellent knowledge of Ballet, Contemporary, Jazz, Lyrical, Musical Theater, Preschool Dance Programs and Tap; I am not only the owner of Erin Rae’s School of Dance but I teach, and choreograph.

I have been awarded multiple times for my choreography; including the Young Choreographer of the Year Award in 2003 at American Dance Awards, several yearly title winning solos for Girls and Boys, and in 2012 I mentored a solo dancer who competed with the TEAM USA DANCE TEAM in Germany at the World Championships. I am asked periodically to judge at dance competitions and I was contacted to choreograph for the 2013 Miss Fall River Scholarship Pageant.

Since opening my doors to Erin Rae’s School of Dance, I have had a steady increase in enrollment and I always keep a family atmosphere for my students. As a skilled dance instructor, I am a positive role model; respected by not only my students, but by their parents. With the help of my outstanding staff, assistants and student helpers, I thank you for making my dream come true!

Miss Samantha Emmett

Samantha Emmett
Miss Samantha joined Erin Rae’s School of Dance Staff in 2019. She started her dance career with Miss Erin Rae McNamara when she was 3 years old and has been dancing for 21 years.

After graduating from Dartmouth High School in 2015, Miss Samantha continued to study Dance at Dean College, where she earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Performance and Choreography and had the opportunity to train under some amazing professionals such as Kristina Berger, Jeremy Ruth Howes, Jill Silverman, and Todd Shanks. Miss Samantha also performed at many of Dean College’s showcases, Young Choreographers Festival in New York, and with the Ten31 Dance Company, Metamorphosis.

Miss Samantha is currently training and performing with Metamorphosis Dance Company as well as creating, educating, and encouraging the dancers here at E-Rae’s. Her favorite dance style is contemporary but her love lies with all of the dance styles including ballet, modern, jazz, lyrical, and tap. When training dancers in ballet, Miss Samantha follows the Vaganova and Cecchetti Method and when training dancers in modern, she follows the Horton Technique.  Miss Samantha really enjoys choreographing, however her favorite part about teaching is watching the dancers have that “ah-ha” moment, when something that she’s trying to teach, just clicks.
