Preschool I (Ages 2-3)
A 30-minute introductory ballet dance class with basic terminology and simple routines in song and dance. Dance-related games are used for stretching, rhythm, and coordination.
Preschool II (Ages 3-4)
A 45-minute class which includes the basic fundamentals of pre-ballet and pre-tap with basic terminology.
Preschool III (Ages 4-5)
A 45-minute class with basic dance steps, beginning combination skills, and increased terminology in ballet and tap.
Kinderdance (Ages 5-6)
A 60-minute combination class in ballet, tap, and jazz. A variety of dance steps and combinations are introduced.
Students continue to develop ballet skills and focus primarily on technique. Ballet is the “basis for all dance!”
This dance style focuses on learning proper dance technique such as isolation of the body, improving performance quality and developing complex rhythms and patterns.
Tap is a style involving rhythm, dynamics and varying sounds. Dancers warm up to loosen their ankles and knees for proper execution of skills, across the floor progressions and have center floor work to learn and perfect new skills.
Acro teaches strength, flexibility and tumbling. Gymnastics skills include, but are not limited to walkovers, limbers, handsprings, chest rolls. Cartwheels/round offs, handstands and more. We also incorporate dance moves into the routine.
This incorporates a variety of old and new urban dance styles, representing body movements that go with the beat and rhythm of Hip Hop music. I is a dynamic style that helps dancers improve flexibility, develop body balance and coordination.
A style focusing on natural body movement with an increased focus on personal interpretation and self-expression.
(ages 12+) A dance style focusing on a combination of ballet and contemporary movements performed in a way that dancers can express their feelings and emotions through the song they are dancing to.
