Preschool IIAges 3-4: A 45-minute class which introduces the basic fundamentals of pre-ballet and pre-tap with basic terminology. Preschool IIIAges 4-5: A 45-minute class with basic dance steps, beginning combination skills, and increased terminology in ballet and tap. Preschool AcroAges 4-5: A 30-minute class utilizing the Acrobatic Arts Preschool curriculum to introduce physical literacy, coordination, creative movement, and basic acrobatic skills in a safe, fun, and engaging environment. Poppin' PreschoolAges 4-5: A 30-minute class introducing the basic steps of hip hop in an age-appropriate manner. This is a fun class with a dash of jazz, hip hop, and swag for your tiny dancers to become comfortable and confident on the dance floor.Plain pink or black leotard, pink or tan footed or transition tights, plain black or E-Rae's dance shorts, clean sneakers "dedicated to dance" - NO OUTDOOR SHOES ALLOWED
KinderdanceAges 5-6: A 60-minute combination class in ballet, tap, and jazz. A variety of dance steps and combinations are introduced. BalletAges 6+: Being that ballet is a core subject in all dance training, dancers will be educated and challenged to continually grow and develop their technique. JazzAges 6+: This dance style focuses on learning proper dance technique such as isolation of the body, improving performance quality, and developing complex rhythms and patterns. Dancers will work on strength, flexibility and conditioning techniques, and progressions including turns, kicks, and leaps. TapAges 6+: Tap is a style involving rhythm, dynamics, ad varying sounds. AcroAges 6+: Utilizing the Acrobatic Arts curriculum, classes build on fundamental dance techniques using safe, age-appropriate progressions to teach acrobatic skills such as cartwheels, handstands, bridges, limbering, and tumbling. Hip HopAges 6+: This class incorporates a variety of old and new urban dance styles, representing body movements that go with the beat and rhythm of Hip Hop music. LyricalAges 10+: This dance style focuses on a combination of ballet and jazz movements performed in a way that dancers can express their feelings and emotions through the song they are dancing to. ModernAges 10+: This dance style focuses on natural body movement with an increased focus on personal interpretation and self-expression. Dancers will also become familiar with improvisation - creating movement on the spot without prior planning or choreography.
